SF Journalism State Alum Breanna Reeves awarded USC Center for Health Journalism Fellowship
SF State Journalism alum Breanna Reeves ('17) has been awarded a USC 2022 Center for Health Journalism California Fellowship for a reporting project on Black maternal wellness.
Reeves covered social activism demonstrations while an undergrad at San Francisco State University, according to an article in Black Voice News, a website and weekly paper in Riverside.
Reeves began her work with Black Voice News through the Report for America national service program that connects emerging journalists with opportunities to join local newsrooms to report on under-covered issues and communities.
After graduating from SF State, she earned her master’s in Politics and Communication from the London School of Economics.
