How to be a better collaborative journalist: A discussion with NABJ Emerging Journalist of the Year (’22) and SF State Photojournalism alum (’19) Sarahbeth Maney

Sarahbeth Maney (SFSU Class of 2019) also known as SB, is a staff photojournalist at The Detroit Free Press and Vice President of The Michigan Press Photographers Association (MPPA). She previously covered national politics at The New York Times's Washington bureau as a 2021-22 photography fellow. In 2022, Maney became the first photographer to receive the National Association of Black Journalists Michael J. Feeney Emerging Journalist of the Year Award.
