Overview
San Francisco photojournalist/filmmaker Lou Dematteis and former SFSU Latina/Latino Studies chair Alejandro Murguia will screen the trailer for Lou’s new PBS documentary “Keeper of the Fire” and answer audience questions on Thursday March 13 at 2:00 p.m. in Humanities 307.
“Keeper of the Flame” is about the life and times of Murguia, the first Latino to be named Poet Laureate of San Francisco. Dematteis has covered Central America and Vietnam for nearly 50 years and has published several books.
Journalism students attending the presentation will receive journalism event credit.
