Guest speaker: Carl De Torres

Carl De Torres is a graphic designer and illustrator specializing in the creation of vibrant and unique visual languages and information graphics. His work has been celebrated by the America Society of Magazine Editors, Graphis, American Institute of Graphic Artists, Cannes Lions Festival, Clio Awards, and Society of Publication Designers. Today, De Torres works with publishers (including Wired, Nature Magazine, MIT Technology Review), foundations and entrepreneurs to create beautiful and effective print, digital, interactive and environmental experiences. He's been recognized for a keen ability to gracefully simplify and illuminate complex technological processes and phenomenon at work in our world today and is highly sought after by companies working in innovative sciences and technologies. De Torres is also the co-founder of StoryTK, a storytelling studio for innovative businesses.
