Brandon Tom - discussing NERT's Fall Citywide Drill Oct 17, 2026

Brandon Tom is the NERT program coordinator, and he’ll be speaking with students prior to the drill about how journalists can work well with first responders during an emergency. He’ll also talk about how the city responds to earthquakes, fires, shootings and other disasters. Brandon stepped into the NERT role after serving as firefighter/paramedic in the Bay View/Potrero Hill area for 14 years. Brandon has worked at every firehouse in the city.
