Meet the SFSU Journalism alumni from *The East Bay Times* who won the 2016 Pulitzer Prize for Breaking News:

· Cecily Burt, deputy metro editor

· Anda Chu, photographer

· David DeBolt, reporter

· Eric Kurhi, reporter

· Craig Lazzeretti, metro editor

The Pulitzer judges said the Times received the award “for relentless coverage of the ‘Ghost Ship’ fire, which killed 36 people at a warehouse party, and for reporting after the tragedy that exposed the city’s failure to take actions that might have prevented it.”

The event is open to SFSU students, faculty and alumni.

A light lunch sponsored by the SFSU Office of Alumni Relations will be served following the presentation.
