Minor in Journalism

The Journalism Minor is intended to give students majoring in another discipline an opportunity to pursue their interests in journalism in an organized way. A total of 21 units is required.

All course work used to satisfy the requirements of the minor must be completed with a minimum grade point average of 2.0.

JOUR 221 News Writing 3 units
JOUR 226 Digital News Gathering 3 units
JOUR 300GW Reporting - GWAR 3 units

Electives (6 units)

Choose any two other journalism courses from the bulletin. Students may take publication laboratory and internship classes as electives.
