Welcome event for new students

The Journalism Department at San Francisco State University is hosting a virtual welcome session for future students on Saturday, April 18, 2020 at 1 p.m. PST.

“With the COVID-19 outbreak and shelter-in-place orders we realize it’s difficult for high school seniors and community college students to choose a university for the fall,” said Rachele Kanigel, chair of the department. “We hope this event will give students a sense of what our journalism department has to offer.”

Students will get the chance to hear from faculty and learn more about the journalism curriculum. Current students will share why they chose San Francisco State University and what they’ve gained from the program.
