SF State Journalism at the 52nd Annual Hearst Journalism Awards

Congratulations to SF State Photojournalism student Elijah Nouvelage '12 for his selection to and participation in the 52nd annual Hearst Journalism Awards Program finals in San Francisco, Ca., on June 4, 2012. He received a $1,500 scholarship to add to his growing list of awards for his participation in the championship. San Francisco State University also received an award for placing Sixth overall in the Photojournalism category. The Hearst Journalism Awards Program operates under the auspices of the accredited schools of the Association of Schools of Journalism and Mass Communication. It is fully funded and administered by The William Randolph Hearst Foundation. Currently, 106 accredited undergraduate schools of journalism in the United States are eligible to participate in the program, which awards up to $500,000 in scholarships and grants annually.
