Journalism Student Wins High Honor

The Journalism Department congratulates Juan De Anda who has won the Edward B. Kaufmann Scholarship of $2,500 from the College of Liberal and Creative Arts. This is the first time a journalism student has won this honor. The Kaufmann Scholarship, generated by a generous endowment from Professor Edward B. Kaufmann, provides one or more scholarships for SF State undergraduates pursuing a degree in any of the following disciplines: American Studies, Chinese, Classics, Communication Studies, Comparative and World Literature, Creative Writing, Cultural Anthropology, English, French, German, History, Italian, Japanese, Jewish Studies, Journalism, Liberal Studies, Philosophy, Philosophy and Religion, Spanish, Technical and Professional Writing, Women and Gender Studies. Juan has also won the the Oakland A's Bill King scholarship last year.

Juan plans to graduate from the program this spring. Way to go Juan!
