Journalism professor advises presidential scholars

Dr. Cristina Azocar, an associate professor of journalism, has been named faculty adviser to the Presidential Scholars Program at SFSU. The Presidential Scholars program at San Francisco State University supports students who demonstrate a high level of academic achievement, have exemplary histories of service in their community and have financial need. Dr. Azocar, a former chair of the Journalism Department, continues to teach two courses a semester in the Journalism Department. Read more about her work with the Presidential Scholars Program here.
