Yumi Wilson, assistant professor of Journalism at San Francisco State, launched the SF News Hub in the summer of 2009 to serve as an outlet for aspiring journalism students to contribute their ideas and voices in one central place or "hub." Unique from many personal blogs, contributors to SF News Hub are edited for news judgment, clarity, accuracy and other factors considered strong "journalistic" standards. The site features a combination of traditional news stories and blogs. In addition, SF News Hub highlights the best of Seeking the Truth, a new documentary project that chronicles the vital role that journalists play as America's watchdogs.
