The Dow Jones News Fund provides paid summer internships in more than 50 newsrooms across the country and a week-long skills-based training program. Interns are placed at prestigious news organizations like The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, USA Today Network, American City Business Journals and many more. Between 75 and 95 interns are hired each summer.

Come meet Heather Taylor of the DJNF, who will share best practices for successful applications and how to prepare for the qualifying test.

College juniors, seniors and graduate students, including those graduating in December, are eligible to apply as long as they are enrolled full-time by the application deadline. Recent graduates and former professional journalists are not eligible.

Interns receive one week of rigorous pre-internship training, a weekly salary during the internship and a $1,500 scholarship for students and graduates with federal loans. The application deadline for summer 2022 is November 5, 2021. All applicants must take a timed, online test; the deadline to take the test is Nov. 12.
