Longtime Bay Area journalist Kat Rowlands, who purchased Bay City News Service earlier this year, will share her transformation from editor to owner and her efforts to update and expand the local news service and launch an affiliated non-profit. She'll also discuss freelance and fellowship opportunities for SF State journalism students.
