Join Bill Hutchinson, The San Francisco Chronicle's assistant metro editor for breaking news. He spent the last 17 years at the New York Daily News covering events such as the Columbine High School massacre, the Sept. 11th attacks, the 2003 New York City blackout, the “Miracle on the Hudson” landing of US Airways Flight 1549 in 2009 and Hurricane Sandy. He’s a graduate of SF State’s Journalism Department and the author of the online memoir “Sushi and Black-eyed Peas”.
