Renaissance Journalism was founded in 2009 by Executive Director Jon Funabiki, a professor of journalism and former Deputy Director of Media, Arts & Culture at the Ford Foundation. Valerie Chow Bush is the center's Deputy Director. Renaissance Journalism utilizes a variety of tools, including grants, technical assistance, training and research, and it forges entrepreneurial partnerships with journalists and their news organizations, ethnic and hyperlocal news outlets, philanthropic and nonprofit organizations, scholars and students. If you are interested in learning more about Renaissance Journalism contact Jon Funabiki at firstname.lastname@example.org.
